Professor Zuraidah Mohd Don, Professor of English Language and Linguistics at UCSI University and Director of the Institute of Languages, is a leading figure in English Language Teaching (ELT) in Malaysia. Previously a senior professor at Universiti Malaya, where she served for over 30 years, she holds a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics. Her research on CEFR-aligned language policy and assessment informs Malaysia’s education system. As founding Chair of the English Language Quality and Standards Council and the Council of Language Deans, she has shaped national language standards. Her work on the ELHAM Project and MUET Syllabus Revision supports innovative ESL teaching, enhancing linguistic proficiency across schools and universities.
