Call for Abstract
There are important deadlines to be noted:
- Deadline for abstracts: Friday 20th June 2025. All presenters whose proposals have been accepted will be informed by 30th June 2025.
- Speakers (apart from those Featured) must pay online. Those who have not paid by 25th July 2025 will be removed from the system. Please remember this. This is because we do not want empty presentation rooms.
- We encourage presenters and participants to take full advantage of the special room rates at the host hotel. Please contact Anne at resvgbme@swiss-belhotel.com or +606-281-6868.
Presenters Guidelines
Conference Proceeding Submission
Presenters are invited to submit their proceedings papers of around 1000 words (3-4 pages long) for review and publication in our Proceedings. Selected extended abstracts will be reviewed and published in our Conference Proceedings. The conference welcomes empirical and theoretical/conceptual papers from multiple fields related to the scope of the conference.
Authors must adhere to the proceedings guidelines and templates and ensure that their papers submitted are ready for publication and have been thoroughly proofread. Submissions for conference proceedings will undergo a review process. Deadline for the submissions is 30th July 2025.
Online registration:
- All presenters must register online.
- Indicate the type of presentation you prefer: 15- or 25-minute paper presentation; 45-minute workshop/model lesson/demonstration/ Writer sessions; poster or thesis competition/ recorded presentations (15 minutes).
- Note that if you indicate a preference for a 25-minute presentation, the committee may assign a 15-minute time slot if there is limited space available for presentations.

Poster Presentation Guidelines
- All presenters attending the conference must produce the poster A1 in size.
- Posters will be printed by the committee for presenters who cannot attend and must be A3 in size and sent via email attachment. The committee will print them on behalf.
- The committee will will assign the times/rooms for display.
- All presenters will get a certificate that is SIMILAR. We do not indicate on the certificate if it is a 15 minute or 25-minute paper presentation; 45-minute workshop/ model lesson/demonstration/ Writer sessions; poster or thesis competition/ recorded presentations

Awards
The ELS MALAYSIA BEST APPLIED LINGUISTICS / ENGLISH STUDIES OR TESL PhD THESIS AWARD
The thesis must be written in English and in the field of Applied Linguistics, English Studies or TESL.
The ANTONY JOHN KUNNAN BEST ASSESSMENT PhD THESIS AWARD
The thesis must be written in English and in the field of Assessment or Evaluation.
- A single prize of 300 USD (and medal + certificate) will be awarded to the winner in each category.
- All entrants must register to do a 15-minute presentation on site and/or Poster Presentation and recorded presentation (if unable to come). All entrants must pay the registration fee to qualify.
- For the AWARDS (BEST THESIS) competition those who can attend will have to only produce the A3 poster and bring it along.
