Professor Dr. Saleh Salim Al-Busaidi is a Professor of English as a Foreign Language and Dean of the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Oman. Holding a PhD in Curriculum Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2003), his expertise includes learner autonomy, material development, and language acquisition. As Director of SQU's Language Centre (2010–2016), he led curriculum enhancements aligned with CEFR standards, improving English proficiency for diverse learners. His research and publications focus on fostering independent learning, contributing to ELT practices that empower students and educators. Professor Dr. Al-Busaidi's work supports TNTELT's mission of innovative, student-centered teaching and Malaysia's priorities for globally competitive language skills.
